ASDC Southwest Appoints Jesse Hale Program Facilitator

Lethbridge, AB- The ASDC Southwest is pleased to announce the hiring of Jesse Hale as Program Facilitator for the Centre.

Jesse is a recent graduate of the University of Lethbridge, where he attained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Kinesiology. While attending the U of L he worked closely with the Athletic Department and the Men’s Hockey team as a team manager. His experience in sport spans across various disciplines and will be an asset to the Centre because of his background. He will add a great deal of insight into the world of high performance athletics that will be useful to us as ASDC Southwest.

“Jesse’s experience working operationally behind the scenes with the Pronghorn hockey program provides him the necessary skills and knowledge to lead and expand the current Centre programs.” Stated Travis Grindle, Executive Director of ASDC Southwest. “He brings a solid base of sports admin skills to the table and I’m confident his enthusiasm and work ethic will help the Centre grow significantly.”

Hale will oversee the delivery of a number of programs including the Athlete Enhancement Program (AEP). The AEP is the flagship program of the ASDC Network, aimed at providing high quality sports science programming to the elite and emerging athletes in Lethbridge and the Southwest region. Additionally, Jesse will also oversee and coordinate the delivery of other Centre services, such as movement analysis, high performance training and fitness testing.

“I am very excited to join the ASDC team and help these athletes emerge and achieve their ultimate potential. Following my last semester, I had two areas I wanted to cover while looking for a job and those were staying in Lethbridge and to work in the world of sports and with athletes. Any day you get to wake up in the morning and work in sport or with athletes is a day to look forward to. I am very passionate in respect to sports and value what ASDC stands for. I intend on helping the ASDC Southwest grow and succeed as an organization during what will hopefully be a lengthy stay with the Centre. ”

The ASDC Network was established by the Alberta Sport Recreation Parks and Wildlife Foundation to coordinate and enhance services available to Alberta's emerging athletes and coaches.  These regional centres provide services to athletes and coaches residing in rural and urban areas allowing athletes to develop and train at a high level without leaving home.

Primary funding for the ASDC Network is through partnership with the ASRPWF, which is a non-profit Crown Corporation supported by the Alberta Lottery Fund. ASDC Southwest is also a registered society and operates not for profit. This allows the Centre to offer programming and services at reasonable and accessible rates.
